Event Accessories – Terms and Conditions of Use
These Terms and Conditions apply to all hired event accessories, including but not limited to lighting, décor, props, games, seating, tables, inflatables, and any additional event equipment. By hiring or using these items, the customer agrees to the following:
1. General Use
- All event accessories must only be used for their intended purpose.
- Users must follow all instructions provided during setup and in any supplied documentation.
- Children must be supervised at all times when using or near event accessories.
- The customer must not modify, alter, or attempt to repair any equipment.
- Accessories must not be used in a way that could cause damage, injury, or create a safety hazard.
2. Safety & Supervision
- The customer is responsible for ensuring all equipment is used safely and appropriately throughout the hire period.
- Children must not use accessories designed for adults, and must be supervised around all equipment.
- Items must not be used near open flames, heat sources, or hazardous environments.
- Any electrical accessories must be kept dry and used only with the provided or approved power sources.
- If any equipment appears damaged, unsafe, or not functioning correctly, it must not be used and the hire provider must be contacted immediately.
3. Placement & Environment
- Accessories must be placed on a stable, level surface and kept away from sharp objects, liquids (unless designed for outdoor use), and trip hazards.
- Outdoor items must not be used in extreme weather, including high winds, heavy rain, or storms.
- Electrical items must not be left outside overnight unless specifically designed for outdoor use.
- The customer is responsible for ensuring the setup area is safe, accessible, and suitable for the equipment hired.
4. Electrical Equipment
- All electrical accessories must be plugged into safe, suitable power sources.
- Extension leads must be outdoor‑rated and fully waterproof if used outside.
- Electrical items must not be exposed to water, moisture, or damp conditions unless specifically designed for such use.
- Cables must be secured to avoid trip hazards.
5. Customer Responsibility
- The customer is responsible for the equipment from delivery until collection.
- Any loss, theft, or damage caused by misuse, neglect, or failure to follow instructions may result in repair or replacement charges.
- The customer must ensure all accessories are returned in the same condition they were supplied, allowing for reasonable wear.
- The customer must ensure safe access for delivery, setup, and collection.
6. Prohibited Use
Accessories must not be used for commercial resale, sub‑hire, or any purpose other than the agreed event.
Equipment must not be used in unsafe environments, including near water (unless designed for it), on uneven ground, or in restricted spaces.
No item should be used under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or substances that impair judgement.
7. Liability
Use of event accessories is entirely at the customer’s own risk.
The hire provider accepts no liability for injury, loss, or damage arising from improper use, failure to follow instructions, or unsafe environments.
The customer is responsible for ensuring all guests and users are aware of these Terms & Conditions.
8. Weather Conditions
- Outdoor accessories must not be used during adverse weather.
- The customer must protect equipment from rain, wind, and moisture unless it is specifically designed for outdoor use.
- Any weather‑related damage caused by failing to follow these guidelines may result in charges.
9. Cleaning & Return
- All accessories must be returned clean and free from excessive dirt, stains, or damage.
- Any missing parts, accessories, or components may incur replacement fees.
- Items must be packed or left in the agreed location for collection.
10. Agreement
By hiring or using event accessories, the customer confirms they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
