Ice Pod & Ice Pod Motor – Terms and Conditions of Use
These Terms & Conditions apply to all hires and use of the Ice Pod and Ice Pod Motor. By hiring or using this equipment, the customer agrees to the following:
1. General Use
- The Ice Pod and Ice Pod Motor must only be used for their intended purpose: cold‑water immersion.
- Users must follow all instructions provided during setup and in the supplied documentation.
- Children under 8 must not use the Ice Pod under any circumstances.
- Children aged 8–17 must only use the Ice Pod under the close supervision of a responsible adult.
- The equipment must not be modified, altered, or used with non‑approved accessories.
2. Health & Safety
- Cold‑water immersion can pose risks. Users are responsible for assessing their own suitability before use.
- Anyone with medical conditions, including but not limited to heart issues, circulatory problems, respiratory conditions, high or low blood pressure, or who is pregnant, should seek professional advice before using the Ice Pod.
- Users must enter and exit the Ice Pod slowly to avoid slips, dizziness, or shock.
- Never use the Ice Pod under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medication that may impair judgement.
- Do not use the Ice Pod alone. A second person should always be present during immersion.
- If at any point a user feels faint, numb, unwell, or uncomfortable, they must exit the Ice Pod immediately.
3. Water Management
- The customer is responsible for maintaining clean, safe water throughout the hire period.
- Only the provided chemicals and instructions may be used.
- The Ice Pod must be placed on a flat, stable surface and filled only with clean water.
- Do not overfill the Ice Pod.
- The water must be emptied safely at the end of the hire period, following the instructions provided.
4. Ice Pod Motor Use
- The motor must always remain upright and must not be submerged in water.
- The motor must be kept away from rain, standing water, or any environment where it may become wet.
- Ensure the power cable and plug remain dry at all times.
- The motor must only be used with the supplied power source and must not be connected to extension leads unless they are outdoor‑rated and fully waterproof.
- The motor must not be operated if damaged, making unusual noises, or functioning incorrectly.
- Users must not attempt to repair or open the motor.
5. Placement & Environment
- The Ice Pod must be positioned outdoors or in a well‑ventilated area.
- Do not place the Ice Pod near sharp objects, heat sources, or uneven ground.
- Ensure the area around the Ice Pod remains free from hazards, trip risks, or obstructions.
6. Customer Responsibility
- The customer is responsible for the equipment from the moment of delivery until collection.
- Any damage caused by misuse, neglect, or failure to follow instructions may result in repair or replacement charges.
- The customer must ensure safe access for delivery, setup, and collection.
7. Liability
- Use of the Ice Pod and Ice Pod Motor is entirely at the customer’s own risk.
- The hire provider accepts no liability for injury, illness, loss, or damage arising from improper use, failure to follow instructions, or pre‑existing health conditions.
- The customer is responsible for ensuring all users are aware of these Terms & Conditions.
8. Weather Conditions
- The Ice Pod and motor must not be used during storms, heavy rain, or extreme weather.
- The motor must be unplugged and stored safely indoors during adverse weather.
9. Cleaning & Return
- The Ice Pod must be emptied and rinsed before collection unless otherwise agreed.
- All accessories, chemicals, and components must be returned in the condition they were supplied.
10. Agreement
By hiring or using the Ice Pod and Ice Pod Motor, the customer confirms they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
