Event Hire Packages – Terms & Conditions of Use
Reigate Hot Tubs is fully insured and holds full public liability cover.
1. Insurance & Liability
- Reigate Hot Tubs shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential losses, damages, or inconveniences incurred by the customer or their guests under this contract, regardless of circumstances.
- We accept no responsibility for any damage, injury, or death resulting from misuse of our equipment.
- We are not liable for damage to lawns, patios, decking, flooring, furniture, or any water‑related damage. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure their property is protected.
- We can offer guidance on safe setup and use, but much of this is considered common sense.
- As the hirer, you are responsible for the care and safekeeping of all equipment and accessories. Any loss, theft, or damage must be paid for. If payment is refused, we reserve the right to pursue a claim through the small claims court.
- A brief demonstration will be provided on delivery. For hires longer than one night, it is the hirer’s responsibility to correctly set up, secure, take down, and operate the equipment as instructed.
2. Our Responsibilities
- If any equipment fails or breaks, we will attempt to resolve the issue promptly once reported.
- If the issue cannot be resolved, you will be reimbursed for the days the equipment was unusable.
- All equipment is supplied clean, safe, and fully functional at the start of your hire.
3. Cancellations, Refunds & Rescheduling
- Postponements: You may postpone your booking free of charge with at least 72 hours’ notice. A credit voucher will be issued for the full amount of your original purchase.
- Cancellations: All cancellations are subject to a 20% cancellation fee.
- Weather: If your experience cannot proceed due to adverse weather, we will happily reschedule your booking to another available date.
4. Alcohol Consumption
If alcohol is consumed during your experience:
- You must be of legal drinking age in your country.
- You acknowledge the risks associated with alcohol consumption.
- You agree to consume alcohol responsibly and monitor intake.
- Using a hot tub under the influence of alcohol is strictly prohibited.
5. Equipment Use Guidelines
Snow Machines
- Must be operated by an adult (18+).
- Snow fluid is non‑toxic, biodegradable, non‑staining, and dermatologically tested. Safety data sheets are available upon request.
- Suitable for indoor or outdoor use, but not in rain, damp conditions, or high winds.
- Keep away from electrical equipment and slippery surfaces.
Smoke Machines
- Must be operated by an adult (18+).
- Smoke fluid is non‑toxic, biodegradable, and leaves no residue. Safety data sheets are available upon request.
- Use in short bursts (10–20 seconds) with 1–2 minutes between uses.
- Not waterproof — do not use outdoors in wet or damp conditions.
- Some smoke machines may trigger smoke alarms; the hirer is responsible for managing this risk.
Firepits
- Operated only by adults (18+).
- Must be constantly monitored by a responsible adult.
- Children under 18 must not access or operate the firepit.
- Must be used outdoors only, on a stable, non‑flammable surface.
- Keep away from gazebos, hot tubs, furniture, and flammable materials.
Other Equipment
- Hammer & Nail: Adults (18+) only.
- Electric Fan Heaters: Must be monitored at all times, kept away from water, and never left unattended.
- Popcorn Machine: Read and follow the operating instructions before use.
- Lighting & Decorations: Must be kept away from water and heat sources.
- Extension Leads: Must remain dry and elevated off the ground where possible.
6. Supervision Requirements
- At least one responsible adult (18+) must be present at all times during the hire period.
- Children under 16 must never be left alone with any equipment.
- The hirer is responsible for ensuring safe and appropriate use of all equipment by guests.
7. Smoking
- Smoking is strictly prohibited near or inside any equipment, including gazebos, hot tubs, inflatables, and enclosed spaces.
- Damage caused by smoking, or evidence of smoking, will incur a charge.
